Round Lake in north-central VictoriaThe Victorian Environmental Water Holder has authorised the release of environmental flows in the Campaspe and Murray systems.

The delivery of environmental water to these systems will be made in line with the Seasonal Watering Plan 2011-12.

The releases will help to maintain important environmental values, including the protection of the threatened Murray hardyhead fish in Round Lake in north-central Victoria.

The seasonal watering statements formally authorise the North Central Catchment Management Authority to order and deliver environmental water from the Water Holdings on behalf of the VEWH.

Environmental water releases will not be made where there is a likelihood of flooding private land or property.
